I like to read and my mom and dad like to read to me. I like to spend time with my dad when he stretches my body. Sometimes he does it too hard but I know I need it. I like when I spend time with mom playing a game or when she is reading to me. I don't spend much time with my sisters especially now that their in university. I would like to change that. How do you spend time with your family?
Hi Jen
ReplyDeleteSpending time with our parents is special and unique. There is no other relationship quite like it. My Mom was a great cook, and she made the best picnics at the beach! These are some of the very warm memories that my sister and I share. We also always had a house-full at holidays. My Mom would invite people we knew who couldn't be with family at Christmas and Easter, so our house was a real gathering place. In the old days we played lots of board games, no computers back then! Such fun!
I like your flower painting and your flower cross stitch.

Great question Jen! How do we spend time with our families? It will be interesting to hear the responses you get. I'm sure everyone will have stories to tell just like Barbara did! I really like the way you're expanding your thoughts process on your blog. Asking people to think about their personal experiences is a great way to get them to participate! Keep thinking in that direction and you will go far with your blog. Dad
ReplyDeleteI love reading to you jen. It lets me enjoy being with you, do something I love and keep up on new books for young people.
ReplyDeletePlaying board games daily is great. I love our competition.
I always love reading since I was very young. But I don't think I enjoy reading for others as either I would read it too fast or too slow. I used to have reading disability when I was in grade school. So, I have never have the confidence reading out loud for anyone. About my favorite spending time with my family is going for a simple walk. While walking with my loved ones, I can express my feeling freely and love listen to their stories too. I also love baking cake for people, seeing their smiles is priceless!
ReplyDeleteI look back on the times when I got to read to our kids at bed time as one of the times I cherish the most in their growing up years. After they had a bath and were in their PJ's and ready for bed, it was my special time of the day to spend time reading with them. I fondly remember back to my own childhood when my dad would tell us stories too.
