Yes,I love doing some research about something, Jen. Lately I have been researching about the most interesting part of our most beautiful organ, our brain. I think feel younger every time I think about my brain! I wish I could explain it to you in simple English I have learned about the BRAIN but I can't. Anyway, I'm very excited to know you are doing some research for your next story! I know I will enjoy your next story. Will it be about Sofia or a different character?
that sounds like a fun project Jen. What are you learning about Unicorns? I research investments often so that i can earn more money and build a nest egg and then retire one day!
I have enjoyed researching a soon to be printed family history going back over 170 years. It has taken over 10 years to complete and it has YOUR name in it too!
I think everyone researches something at some point. I've researched lots of things over the years, including computer and medical stuff for you. The Internet makes researching a lot easier than it used to be. Before the internet we used to spend time in the library and the information want very good.
Research is very satisfying. It makes you feel younger because you are still learning and expanding your brain no matter how old you are. I always enjoy looking things up with you as we encounter questions while reading. Finding out something new is like a light bulb going on. “Oh that’s why!
Oh, I look forward to your Unicorn story, Jen, aren’t they magnificent creatures? Have you had any dreams since you began delving into your research?
I tend to do my research more from observing than reading. This past year my research has been birds. Watching how they perch, where they perch, observing g what their body does e we hen they sing, how they get ready to take flight, checking around for safety first, similar to how we look left and right before crossing a street.
They have more of a 360 degree Presley I’ve from how their eyes are more on the sides of their heads. We have to swivel our head, Nw Mack, torso and sometimes hips and feet to get a hood look around us, where as the birds see to cock their head, listen, then take flight.
They never seem to bump into one another unless with intention. Not like us human beings, we are always bumping into one another! Watch out at a crosswalk with everyone going in all different directions!
I have been watching crows a a lot. They are incredibly smart and social birds! I feed them on the railing of my back deck. Their babies left the nest today which has them vulnerable these next 3-5 days as they get strength and coordination in both their legs and wings! The parents will spend the next 6 months teaching them how to get food , where to go for safety, how to protect the family, eventually how to build a nest… because the young crows are just trying to figure out a bush snd a branch, Mum and Dad are still feeding them. So I am giving them freeze dried minnows, salmon bits , and mackerel skin from a water dish (they like to wash their food in the gutters where no one can snatch the food away from them) which also gives them fresh water on these hot days.
To cool off on shot day like today, the adults stand on a branch that has lots of leaves, high enough to catch the breeze if there is some, and with their beaks wide open. Did you know dogs sweat thru their paws? Crows cool off thru their opened mouth!
I wonder if crows ever ride on the back of a unicorn?!!
