I don't believe in mermaids but they are a lovely fantasy. When I was little I learned how to swim under water, and I loved it! I spent more time swimming under the water, than on top of it! I felt a bit like a mermaid,or a dolphin ha ha! When I got older, I joined a synchronized swimming club, and we learned some beautiful under water routines that were a lot like under water ballet. I loved it. I like your painting Jen, it could be called 'the dance of the mermaids'. It looks like they're dancing over a bed of sea coral. Barbara
You should share with your readers the story you are writing about the disabled mermaid Jen. It's such an original idea and powerful concept. I think they would find it interesting. If mermaids exist then surely there must be a disabled one out there somewhere! Dad
If mermaids are real then that bothers me. Because since I have never seen or met one then that means that there could be more scary creatures under the sea that I dont know about. Its hard enough diving into the ocean without thinking about everything that is down there.
