I was watching the Brook Elison story the other day and was thinking how lucky I am to live in Canada. I am so lucky not to be more handicapped than but I do wish that I could talk clearly and eat like Brook. Have you ever lived in the U.S.?
Brook Elison sounds an interesting person, Who is she Jen? I have never lived in the US, but have visited it. I was in L.A, New York City and Saint Louise. Like you, I'm also very glad that I live in Canada and not planning to move anywhere else! I did wish I was a little taller when I was younger but I'm okay with it now. And I think you speak a little more clear now, Jen. I understand you so much better too!
I just googled her, what an extraordinary woman! What adversities she over came to get where she did! Life is about managing adversity. Many people shy away from it, ignore it, pretend it isn't there or complain that it is there. I think that the most successful people embrace it as a challenge. Every one's challenges are different and yours are certainly significant. I won't bore you with mine! Bad knee, short, old, not as sharp as I used to be and on and on! For you wanting to speak normally I think that technology must be right around the corner with and answer. Look for it. So many incredible answers are out there from advances in science. And no, I haven't lived in the US and glad I don't have to either! U. Nick
I have not lived in the US and i agree with you that we are lucky to live in Canada. I like to visit places in the US from time to time, like Palm Desert, but i don't much like the idea of living there permanently. especially with Donald Trump as president!
Hi Jen. You did live in the US briefly when you were a toddler after we came back from Saudi Arabia. We easily could have stayed there, but we had the option to come back to Canada and we took it. Your Mum is from the US and I am from Canada, so we could live in either place. But we decided to live in Canada because this is where I bought my business (Axicon) and the medical system is better. Dad
At one point in my career I Spent almost every other week in the US. I loved travelling there but dont think I want to live there. My upcoming trip is to ride my motorcycle from Chicago to California along Route 66. Its a historic road. I have not heard of this woman but will when I sign off. I really like it when you write blogs about things like this. I wish that the blog was more interactive so that we could chat back and forth between each other. Im glad you live in Canada so I can know your family.

I agree, we're lucky to be living in Canada. I haven't seen this movie. I'll have to look for it.
