I LOVE car trips. And motorcycle trips. We are in Osoyoos this weekend. We had a wonderful drive here with the top down. The drive has transported us to a different place and climate. I find driving soothing and they say that when you want to have a difficult conversation with someone, driving is a good time to do it. Its called windshield time. On the bike, I have to concentrate very carefully or my life could be in jeapardy. So I am able to leave all my cares behind while I take in the scenery and senses of the road. I'm glad you like car trips Jenn. Its good to get out and see yiur community and the world!
I don't go far by car. Just shopping or to events with friends. I do enjoy the time I spend in my car. It's a quiet reflective time. Traffic doesn't phaze me, I'm quite patient. I enjoy cbc radio one. They cover a wide range of topics, which I generally find quite interesting. Barbara
I do enjoy a long car drive, Jen. Yesterday driving home from Mission I stopped a few time to take some beautiful pictures and to buy some fresh cut flowers on side of the road. I'm also planning to take a couple friends to whistler next week for the ride. My friend has a nice Volvo for me to drive as she get nervous driving that far so I will do it for us.
As Barbara says I'm also very patient when I'm driving, I don't mind with the traffic either, just give yourself more time to get there, that's all. The only time I got very nervous on the road when I was in South Africa with John. Everybody drives very fast there and it was on the left side of the road. One time John drove on right side by mistake and we almost had a collusion with a big truck! But overall, I like a long slow car drive, Jen.
I like taking car trips as long as I am not sitting for too many hours. When I am with your dad he does almost all of the driving so I get to look around the most which is nice. On very long trips I sometimes fall asleep though! That is one reason I don’t like doing really long drives by myself.
