Life is so short. We should enjoy the time that is given to us.

  1. A good reminder for us all Jen. We have to make an effort to 'stop and smell the roses' as the old saying goes. Relating to people has become important to me as I get older. People are so diverse and so interesting. I talk to people in the coffee shop line-up, the grocery store, wherever I am. I like people. For some people who are alone, it may be the only conversation of their day. The world is what we make it. Let's make it friendly.

  2. Life is so short yet for many its 90-100 years. That sure sounds like a long time but it does go by pretty quickly. The paradox is that we want to get the most out of it yet when we do, it seems to go faster. When we dread something ahead, it seems to go slower. The comforting thought is that time is constant no matter what you do. Make the most of it and leave the world a better place than when you found it.

  3. you are right on the money Jen. Time for us mere human beings is the only finite resource in this universe and we need to soak it all up. don't sweat the small stuff and as you say, enjoy the time that is given to us.

  4. Yes Jen, we should live each day like it's our last. Not everyone is able to do that though. We are fortunate to be able to do that in our family. Mum and I are in Revelstoke. We will be home this afternoon. Dad

  5. Sometimes it is hard to remember Jen. Worries and daily tasks can keep you so busy that you forget. We all get so tied up in what we are doing. We need to slow down and enjoy, you are right.

  6. Yes, you are right, Jen. I enjoy the little things the most now as going for a walk, meeting a friend, baking or cooking new recipe and doing something I'm afraid of! I also find it quite interesting to practice minding your own thoughts, it is almost like doing a meditation. You are praying quietly in your mind for everything while enjoying life. It is being grateful for everything, even while doing nothing important; just being grateful! It's an amazing feeling to be able to cultivate that from your own thought, Jen.
