  1. The Most Magical Day Ever!!
It started out alright. Like every other day, Sandy finished her breakfast, brewed a fresh pot of ginger herbal tea and switched off the radio. "Mom, Dad, your tea's ready. I've gotta run! See you later!" Stepping out on the street Sandy strode past condos, high rise apartments and office buildings. She loved this city, but couldn't wait until she saved up enough money to buy her own little town house in False Creek. 'One day, Sandy thought wistfully.' Checking her phone for time, she decided she'd better pick up the pace. 'Oh oh, I hope the sky train is a little late today!' she said to no one in particular.
'Oh! What?', she exclaimed as something landed on her head. Sandy glanced up, swiping and waving her arms wildly. Looking into her clenched fist, she finally focused on a pink flower. Then it dawned on her it was raining flowers! Purple, pink, yellow, blue - a rainbow of flowers falling all around her! Suddenly looking way up, Sandy saw...

  2. Sandy saw a big giant tree. Wow, I wonder if I climb the tree Sandy thought ? So, she climbed the tree and found a bird nest on one of the branches and there was a yellow talking bird greeting her... The bird asked Sandy if she would like to be his friend and spend some time with him there. Before long
Sandy and the yellow bird started singing and joking about how wonderful it is living up on the tree. The yellow birb asked Sandy to come back to visit him again tomorrow...

  3. 'Beepbeep beepbeep beepbeep beepbeep,' said the yellow bird. What... Huh? Oh my alarm! 'Wow, what time is it?!' thought Sandy as she slapped her alarm off. 'and what a strange dream' she mused, tentatively looking around expecting to see her old bedroom, rainbow flowers, talking birds and Mom and Dad. 'I better get a move on and get ready for class, I have that music history exam today', she thought while scrambling out of bed.

  5. ...Barbara. I'm coming to Vancouver next week and I was wondering if you would like to meet for a coffee? Sure said Sandy but we're not supposed to meet because there's a pandemic on! That's okay said Barbara, we'll just wear masks. Oh, okay said sandy...

  6. Glancing at her watch Sandy figured she could fit in one quick call to Jennifer, her ballet instructor. 'Hi Jennifer, guess who's coming to town next week?' 'Hi Sandy, who's coming?' It's Barbara', said Sandy, 'do you want to get together with us because it'll be the last time we'll see her before this semester is over and we go on tour with the ballet.'
'Yes, that would be great, let's talk tonight after rehearsal.'
' Ok, see you tonight!' said Sandy as she hung up.
Just as Sandy rounded the next corner, 'Oops! Sorry, Hi Mr. Hudson!
'Hi Sandy! I'm glad I ran into you. I was talking to your parents last week. Have you got a minute?'
Well, sure but I'm on my way to school to write my last exam.'
'Ok,' said Mr. Hudson. 'Your dad mentioned that you don't have a summer job lined up yet.'
    'No.' she replied.
'Well I need a summer replacement for one of our staff so give me a call when you have time.'
    'Ok. Thanks. Bye!'
