Do you get more excited on your own birthday or on your best friend’s birthday?

I don't remember any of my friends birthday parties. Do you get more excited on your own birthday or on your best friend’s birthday?

  1. A great question, Jen. I used to get more excited on John's birthday than mine. Because he would've got so excited about it by calling his brother and always got a call from his mother and then he would've been smiling all day long. Even when I didn't get him anything special. In the meantime on my birthday I often forgetting it 🤣. Growing up in Indonesia we didn't celebrate birthdays, at least family didn't.

  2. I get more excited on my own birthday, Jen. But I keep it a secret because I think it's embarrassing.  I don't get invited to that many birthday parties either.  I don't think I'd ever have a birthday party for myself, but I know some people who do!

  3. A great question. I like other people's birthdays more than mine. Though I'm not the slightest bit worried about getting older. I'm enjoying every year. I'll be 70 this summer, and loving every minute!

  5. Jen - I don't get excited about my birthdays, but most of the rest of the world does. Maybe that is because my birthday is January 1st.

I am retired. I used to live in Washington State, about an hour or so from Surrey. Since 2008 I have lived in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. That's where I met your Dad at a local barbershop. He was in the chair next to me, and was quietly laughing at my terrible Spanish :)
