Turkey. I spent 3 weeks there when I was in my early 20's. I had only planned on being a few days. We lived on $7 a day when travellers could live on $25 a day in the rest of Europe. We hitchhiked and walked as much as we could. We ate from bendors on the street. It was amazing and opoened my eyes to a world I never knew existed.
I think my most favourite trip was Africa. I have been there twice and would go back again!!! I love animals and nature and the indigenous people that live in the villages. They have a simple life which us city folks could learn from. Do you know about Sir David Attenborough?? He has wonderful documentaries on the travel. Ask your mum and dad. Love AP
You have traveled to lots of exotic places Jen, including Saudi arabia, where you were born, and Sri Lanka! Unfortunately you were too young to remember them. I guess my favorite place to travel to is France and my second favorite place would be Italy. Those are the two most popular countries in the world to visit because of their food and culture. Dad
A pretty spectacular morning here in BC! So very fortunate to live here. My body loves the cool and the cold so top (so to speak as it does have the highest mountain in the world… Mount Everest) I love the Himalaya Mountain Range which crosses thru many countries… Nepal, Tibet, India… I love all those countries for the People, the people’s Creativity, Mother Nature, Spirituality, in India the cuisine, (Tibet and Nepal food is not similar to India), the lighting from the sun and the moon, the music (voice in chanting and instruments of many sorts), ….I can evoke the smells, fragrances, aromas… Love Cousin Tess
I would say africa, where I spent 6 months travelling from the top to the bottom a loonnnggg time ago in the early 1980s. And of my time in Africa, while there was so much that was fantastic and beyond anything I could have imagined (including the animals and people and music), if I had to choose one thing that stands out above everything else I would have to say it was crossing the Sahara desert which took a month of steady travelling every day. It is so vast! It was amazing (and hard work!) to climb up up up up to the top of a very high sand dune and look out in every direction and see nothing but desert. Below, the truck I was traveling in be the size of an ant. Running and sliding down the dune was a blast too! love pippa
Wow! What a great question Jen. So many interesting places in the world and so much to learn. Having grown up in New England USA. I love Canada! Other places in the world are interesting and different and exciting, but I love living in BC!
