When no one is around a little girl likes to dance
When no one is around a little girl likes to dance,
When no one is around a little girl likes to dance,
She dances ballet,
She goes to ballet school,
When no one is around a little girl likes to dance,
She is wonderful at ballet,
She is practicing for a performance,
When no one is around a little girl likes to dance,
She sees her parents in the audience,
She curtsies when everybody claps,
When no one is around a little girl likes to dance,
That is beautiful Jen. Is that a poem or the lyrics for a song? I think it would be beautiful either way. Are you that girl in your dreams? Dad
ReplyDeleteHI Jen! I love this poem. did you write it? what inspired you to write it?
ReplyDeleteWow...I didn't know you could write such a beautiful poem, Jen. Please write more!
ReplyDeleteJen, your poem really touched me. I was that little girl. When I was home on an afternoon, and everyone was out, I would put on music and dance 'ballet'. I jumped up onto the sofa and pirouetted around the room. I felt like a ballerina and I was on stage. I had never taken ballet, nor had I seen a performance, except on tv, but I felt it in my heart.
ReplyDeleteYour poem made me smile as I remembered that little girl. I hope you dance in your dreams too Jen.
I don't know anyone who can teach you to paint portraits, but with the talent you have, and your wonderful imagination...you can paint whatever you want. Your descriptions are so vivid, I taste the orange!
