Our friends are always strangers at the beginning. I have many friends that have helped me in my life. What about you? Who has helped you in your life?
There have been many people have helped me out in my life, Jen. I grew up in a big family and used to moved around while attending school in Indonesia and then after I moved to Canada and especially when I was single there were many friends helped me out from where to find place to stay to find me a job and some helped me out with nothing other than their time which means the most at time. I believe we all do help each other and I don't know if anybody can live a happy without anybody' help. I always wonder whether it is possible to be a self-made of something. And of course God always help me with the big and small things in life, all of my life.
Hi Jen You always remind us to think about the really important things in life. So you've helped me a lot! Thanks! People along the way helped me to grow and see outside of the small world I lived in. There have been many. God has helped me to take a good look at myself and try to improve my behaviour and thinking. I've learned to listen to him and this helps me to focus on being a better person toward others. I will always keep trying. Barbara
Lots of friends have helped me in my lifetime. Mostly they have been role models for me when I was younger. Now I hope that I'm helping other people more than they are helping me. I would like to be a role model for others now. Dad
They say that a friend is just a stranger waiting to happen. Thats why we have to open ourselves to meeting new people otherwise we wont make new friends. Good friends are hard to come by and if we want to keep them we have to invest in them.
Good question Jen. Many of my good friends have helped me over the years. I try to help them too. If we can all help each other, we will all be better off.
Wow, I have a list! One was Ann Knight. You might remember her from St. Marks. She was like a grandmother to my kids but she was not that much older than me. She made me feel special and made me think outside the box. I was really sad when she died. The grayston's from my growing up i Burnaby. They were there to support me when my mom and brother died. They put trust in me and helped me to talk about how I felt. And that is only two.... Mari Anne
