I think so, Jen. On my days off I usually get up around 9 am which is very late but I like being in bed to day dream before I start my day. Then....I get excited! I usually have a big breakfast like having regular lunch or dinner type of meal. After that I would do some errands like shopping for grocery, pay bills, do laundry, maybe have a dentist appointment to visit etc. But when I was working for a nursing home many years ago I had to wake up around 4.30 am as my shift started at 6 am. My life is a holiday now compare to how it was.
Some people are very energetic when they get up in the morning but some people are a little slow or even moody! I'm the energetic one. I used to drive my husband crazy by making so much noise in the morning with my plate and spoon because I was always ready to have something to eat! And not to forgetting having me singing Indonesian songs in the morning with my tune deaf sound, but I have a blast while doing it. My dog used to run away from me when I started sing. LOL
I'm an early riser Jen. I have been since I was little. Even in summer holidays I would be on the front lawn by 7:30. I've been a naturalist all my life and my favourite thing to do was to climb the diving tower and sit up in the lifeguard chair. Perched over Okanagan lake , I'd watch the ducks, coots and lake loons come out. Sometimes they'd swim right round the dock because I'd be very still. I still think early morning is the best time of the day! Barbara
I woke up early Jen because that was when the fish were usually biting. I guess they were having breakfast too! Also it was to get more hours out of the day. I agree with Rita and Barbara that the morning is the best time of the day. It's also when your mind is thinking most clearly. I always have my best thoughts early in the morning such as right now. Also the morning is a good time to exercise. I wish morning would last all day! How about you Jen? Dad
Mornings are awesome. I feel like its our chance to start over each day and make the day even better than the previous day. Of course that doesn't always happen but we can try. You don't have to get up early for that to happen but being up early, rested, and in a positive mood seems to give us the best chance. Have you ever heard the expession 'the early bird fets the worm'?
I like the quiet of mornings before things get busy. You can enjoy your thoughts, grab a cup of tea, maybe read with no interruptions. At night I get drowsy and don't concentrate as well. I love the smell of morning and the dew on the grass. Mari Anne
