If you could choose a new school subject what would it be?

If I could make a new school subject it would be something with cross stitch and color by number because I like doing both on the computer. It would be called Crafting by Color. I thought about a reading and writing subject but we already do that in English class. If you could choose a new school subject what would it be?

  1. Hi Jen
I like both of your new school subjects.
I'd sign up for the Crafting with Colour and the Reading and Writing course.
I like to read aloud. I don't get much opportunity to do it. I made recordings for my Mom after she became blind.
I've always wanted to write and I did write 3 books for our granddaughters.
One regret I have about school is that I didn't take any art classes. Not a big deal though because it gives me something new to discover now!

  2. I like your idea, Jen. I wish students learn early in grade school about to how to save money and budgeting as this skill will help them a lot in the future. I also am glad we all are different, it makes the world more interesting. I had problem with reading when I was in grade school and still remember how terrified I was when I had to read out loud in class. Until these days, I cannot stand the idea of reading on the front of people, I would read it either too loud or people couldn't hear me. I still remember when I was new in Victoria, while attending an ELS class and were asked to read one paragraph on the front on my class and read it so loud where my instructor ask me not scream! I can laugh about it now but at the time I felt so embarrassed, I didn't come back for next day class.LOL

  3. Your Dad and I are in Wrangell, Alaska with our two brothers. We have had a lot to contemplate over the past few days so a new subject to study in school might be a bit past my comprehension. If I had a choice it would be more study of Latin. It is a wonderful subject that needs more enthusiastically embraced by more of us, U. Nick

  4. Hi jen - my thought is that since you are already so good at cross stitch and colour, that you could teach it? i think you would be good at it. But you would have to be patient to deal with beginners. do you think you could teach someone?
