That was a good question, Jen! What did I do at the library then if I didn't borrow any book yesterday? I just browsed the books but nothing that I really wanted to read yesterday and I also didn't have special bag or maybe I was just feeling bored at the time. Of course I have regret it now...I wish borrow one or two yesterday!
Rita, I'm not sure if I've mentioned 'Libby' on this blog but I'll mention it now because it's great and I use it. You might like it. 'Libby' is an app for free e-book borrowing. I love to browse book stores and find new reads. Instead of buying them, first I check out my 'Libby' app to see if they have it. Then if they do, I can borrow the e-book on my phone or my tablet and read the digital version. If it's not available I can request it and they'll send me an email when it's in, and it will appear on my shelf (virtual shelf) in my phone and tablet. You have access to your e-book for 21 days, but can extend that time until you finish reading it. To get the Libby app working you speak to your library about it (in some areas the library might have a different name for this app). Then they give you a plastic library card with your account number on it. You go to google play store and download the Libby app (it's free) and follow the prompts to enter your library account number and select your local libary. My neighbour told me about it a few years ago and I like using it. Jen, you were asking about the birds I saw on my walk. They were Pine Siskins. They're small mostly grey with brown and pale yellow stripes on the wings and tail feathers. I also saw a robin family last week. There's a white nuthatch in one of our nesting boxes so I expect to see baby birds peeking out soon. In our front meadow the wrens are back. They use that bird house every year. We have a lot of bird houses and many of them are being used now. We see the parents going in and out as they feed their brood! Barbara
Hi Barbara! Yes, someone told me about this app before but I don't have a tablet and my cellphone has data on it. So for the time being I can only read the regular books! I'm using an old desktop computer or a six years old laptop for my email! I just can't see myself spending some money on something that I thought don't really need it...or maybe I do! Thanks for the info, Barbara.
