what I did today #5
I have a electric bed that turns me. My mom leveled the bed at 8:20 this mourning and woke up my computer and got my bluetooth speaker going. I woke up shortly after that. When I woke up I looked around my blue bedroom. I looked up at the ceiling and read the Christen posters on it. All my dolls are on the left side of my bed. I have a ballerina doll that I call Jennifer because I have always wanted to dance. I have another doll that I have named Faith. I have a nun doll that I named Mary. I have a bear that I call Hope. Before she turned me on my side to start physio she turns my story on my computer and bring the speaker over to my bed so I can hear it. When i'm on my side my mom gives me a mouth suction and gives me 9 THC drops in my mouth because my back has been hurting. After she gives me the drops she writes it down in the nurses notes and then she starts physio. I need physio because it loosens the secretions in my lungs. My mom does physio with one hand reads with the other. We go through a lot of books. After physio my mom goes to exercise and Anna my caregiver gets me up and takes me to the bathroom. I scared Anna when I got up today because she forgot that I had my clicker and I could play ane stop my story that I am listening to. It was fun to scare Anna a little bit. Today is my break day so I don't have to write in my story. I played on the computer until 12:15 and then Anna drove me to speech therapy at Surrey Memorial. It was really good. What did you do today?

It seems you had another busy day, Jen! My day was pretty easy, did some house chorus like doing laundry, going grocery shopping, return books to library etc. I often wonder if people were watching my daily life activities, like those people on TV, they will fall sleep while watching me...because my daily life activities seem so boring and predictable! But of course, I don't mind it all.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you're very good at video games Jen. Young people are so good with computers compared to my generation.
ReplyDeleteI remember the first computer we bought our youngest son when he was about 9. It was around 1988, I think. It was a Tandy brand, ( old scool for sure ) and we bought it at Radio Shack. I don't think those stores are still around.
It was a dos system and I had to read the book and help him get started. I even learned how to program small games! Both of our sons are very good with computers and their children are too.
It's interesting, my mom was born before most people had electric lights and cars. She saw the invention of radio, tv, phones cell phones, space travel, and so much more.
I was born before cell phones and the internet.
Makes you wonder what our grandchildren will see in their lifetime.

Today was an unusual work day. Everyone gathered at our warehouse and we cleaned it out. Then we went for a team lunch. It was good for all of us to work together on something like this.
ReplyDeleteI played golf yesterday Jen. Dad
