We are animal lovers too. Hmmm... I like to see animals in the wild so maybe not in a zoo at all. How about a petting zoo for kittens and puppies that need a family to adopt them. The SPCA finds them, sometimes wild, sometimes in an overpopulation situation. If the public can see and pet them, they might give one a good home. Barbara
Jen I remember that your favourite animals were the monkeys. You loved to watch them! So fascinating! I too would prefer the animals to be in the wild.
I have never been visiting zoo for a long time, the last time I visited it maybe twenty years ago, Jen. My favorite animals probably monkeys as well. I also like seeing fish, birds, and riptiles too. of course, I would rather like to see them living in the wild.
I would have Lions and tigers Jen. Sometimes zoos save animals from extinction. They also help connect people to nature and allow us to learn more about animals. Extinction is happening because there are too many people in the World. It is not the because of zoos.
I am okay with zoos as long as they are for rehabilitation and for animals that can not be released back into the wild. I think there should be limited visiting by humans to these facilities. The world is not a better place with animals just caged up for our pleasure.

ReplyDeletei would put bears and wolves. they are amazing creatures, very powerful and we have to have a lot of respect for them.
