My chair doesn't like snow and I don't like the cold, so I mostly stay in under my electric blanket and stay warm. My chair usually gets stuck in the snow. What do you like to do on snow days?
It's too bad your chair gets stuck in the snow. Snow days can provide some beautiful scenes. A thick layer of smooth white snow, lining thin, black branches is a study in contrasts. Sometimes when the snow is wet, as it often is at the coast, fine outer branches become transformed into lace, gorgeous when set against the blue sky. It seems quieter after a snow. The world's sounds are absorbed into the cottony white blanket. Winter birds a@ for seeds or dried up berries. I imagine you can see quite a bit of a snowy winter through the window as you look out into your back yard. There's something magical about a snowfall that brings all of us to stand at our window. I love snow but am not such a good driver for the winter season, Jen. I remember when I was new in Canada staying at a hotel outside of Toronto and I was looking down through the windows at the fresh snow down below, I cried! I thought it was the most amazing thing I ever saw in my life. I still find new fresh snow is still amazing to look at, don't you think? I usually just stay at home when it is snowing outside, reading or cooking while keeping myself warm!
I like to take Murphy out for a walk. she absolutely loves it, frolicking around with other little doggies in the snow. Since her coat is so thick and insulated, she doesn't get cold. i can't wait for the next snow day!

ReplyDeleteI love to enjoy the beautiful snowy day from a large window in a comfy chair with a good book bye the fire.
