I haven't been able to get out in the garden much to see my flowers but i'm sure they're still pretty Barbra. Now that I have my new chair and my back is feeling better i`m hoping to get out more. Where did you live before? Like what stories does your friend Maria have about her races?
Your flowers are still blooming Jen. I think they will keep blooming until the first frost. What kind of flowers do you want to get next year? I like geraniums and marigolds. Your birthday is a good day to do that on I think. Dad

ReplyDeleteWe were at a dinner party tonight with some of our neighbourhood friends, and Maria was invited to come along with us. My friend Tracy is a very good cook, she used to own an organic food restaurant in Houston. Tonight she made squash soup with bacon and a little maple syrup in it. It was so delicious. My husband, who has never wanted to try squash, loved it! Then Tracy served salad, steak, baked potato and I brought a broccoli and cauliflower casserole. Dessert was a home made cheesecake.
Maria, our friend from Port Moody, was telling us about hiking in the Northwest Territories. They were up a mountain and they camped under the stars in little tents. They had to be very careful about how they stored the food they brought with them or anything else that would attract bears. There were 3 of them and they were really far into the wilderness. She loved it out there, but it sounds too scary for me!
Maria has entered a lot of bike marathons, and running marathons too. But now she's taking up bicycle racing on a big oval track. She loves extreme sports.
