Interesting comment Jen! You are a product of what it is called the millennial generation, a generation brought up around keyboards and computers. It is quite funny for old timers like me to read a comment like yours! In Gran's day nearly all communication was hand written with the occasional typewritten correspondence thrown in. I have read all of the many, many letters Gran wrote from when she was a little girl in school. We have maybe 30 of her writings. I also have an original hand written letter your great, great, great grandfather wrote in 1875! I will send you a hand written Christmas card. I will do my best to make it legible so that you can try and read it yourself! U. Nick
Handwriting is also known as cursive writing. It is a dying art form. I'm not sure if thats a goos thing. Seems that we should all know how to write things down easily. Things like white out out and erasing tape are also less used as if we need to have a corrected copy its easy to print out a new good copy. I am finally starting to consciously use less paper by just storing soft copies. It is a hard habit to break.
WhatsApp is a chatting program Jen. I don't if it would work on your computer but we should try to get it. Then you could chat with friends and family. How about some artwork for us Jen? My handwriting is really neat, Jen, so you shouldn't have any trouble reading it. You don't seem to have any problem cashing my cheques! Love, Dad
Yes WhatsApp is like chatting program where you can text, send pictures or videos and make calls for free through your cellphone. It is really good because I don't need to spend a lot of money to contact my family in Indonesia now. I don't write to my mom anymore because she died, Jen. The siblings prefer texting now, it is faster and free. The price for international stamp is quite expensive there in Indonesia.
