story part 8

"It'll be all right, said Sofia's instructed, just go out there and skate your best."

"Ok," said Sofia nervously.

After she did the compition she had to wait until all the other competitors were done skating before she knew if she had won or not.

When all the competitors were done skating, Sofia's skating instructed gave her a silver ribbon and said, "you won silver in the junior round of skating."

On the way home Sofia asked, "can I get a tattoo for my birthday?"

"Sure, you can," said their dad sarcastically.

"Dad, be serious." said Sofia frustrated.

"Yes, you may get a tattoo for your birthday but we aren't paying for it," said their mom.

"Can I get one too?" Piped up Charlie from the backseat.

"No, you can't, you're too young," said their mom.

  1. Well done Sophia! I see the tatoo is still on her mind. She seems like a strong minded girl, which is good. You have to be strong minded to plan your goals and make them happen. I think you're strong minded Jen. I think the story you're writing is going really well and may become that book you were talking about writing. Your writing has improved so much in the past year, it's really amazing!

  3. I hope those are temporary tattoos Sophia and Charlie are getting Jen and not the real thing! You know we don't like tattoos in our family and I hope you aren't thinking about getting one! Silver is pretty good Jen. Sophia most be a really good skater unless there were only two people in the competition. Your writing is improving so much Jen! Dad

  4. I wonder why it is so important for Sophie to get a tattoo? Do you know why? I know Aleshia has one in memory of her grandfather.
Your readers will want to know why.
