This art is almost 3 dimensional in appearance. I wonder where the tradition of making the tissue coliurful came from? I read yesterday that in the 1930's women used to make dresses from sacks of wheat. So the sack makers started to put patterns onto the sacks so the dresses would be prettier.
Yes Owen, I also read about the flour and sugar sack dresses. I've read quite a bit about pioneer and settler life. I find it very interesting. It was a hard life and you had to be resourceful. Jen, your painting is very pretty. It looks like foil wrapping paper. Barbara
