Hi Jen I'm so amazed by your art! This really is a walk in the park! I like this painting. I see a lake reflecting purple hydrangea beds. Golden pathways lead me past flower beds into a cool shaded woodland. Barbara
I thought it looked like a super nova but I guess I got overruled! I do see the hydrangeas in it though. It could also be a river with water flowing over colored rocks. Whatever it is it is beautiful abstract art! Dad
An interesting hydrangea fact. When they're grown in the clay soil of the Okanagan, they're always pink - even if you've planted a blue flowering one. It goes pink. In the rich silty soil of the west coast, they're always blue. It's all about the PH level in the soil. Some gardeners put specific minerals into the soil to get the colour that is opposite to their area. I planted one called 'Blue Eyes' and it was blooming at the time (blue), it's now pink! I like both!
Walking in the woods or parks is one of my favorite things to do. The trees and flowers make me feel rich! I live near parks and library, so what else I do want? when I had my wedding 9 years ago friends brought me a lot of hydrangea to decorate the venue as I did ask my friends to bring flowers from their gardens as their present. I was surprised seeing how beautiful they are on the pictures, they look so better than roses and any other flowers! Keep up the good work, Jen.
