This does look just like a flock of colourful South American birds. A very beautiful painting, Jen. In the U. K. starlings form huge flocks in the air called murmurations. I've seen these on YouTube and they're amazing to watch. Barbara
Agree with Barbara. The last few times coming along 16th avenue from Abbotsford, there have been enormous flocks (murders) of crows. Literally thousands of birds. I wish they were as colourful as yours!

Yes, some birds are so beautiful, Jen. A friend of mine has a pretty yellow parrot and my aunty used have a colourful canary type of bird? For whatever reason, I'm actually afraid of bird, I just look at them from the distance. If I could be a bird, probably would like to be an owl!
I highly recommend everyone checking out the phenomenon of the starling murmuratipn on YouTube. You just type it into the search bar on YouTube . I haven't heard the explanation of why they do this but it's awesome. Barbara
