  1. What is Boccia,Jen? I won some sprint/short distance running when I was in school in Indonesia and it was fun. Unfortunately nobody really supported me in the family though. I don't know why. I still like running but don't do it much anymore . I like the feeling of pushing myself the finish line and the had heart beat in my chest! I can't sing or dance so running is my only way to express myself.

  2. Congratulations Jen! Is Boccia the game with balls, rolled along the grass? I've heard of Boccia Ball, an Italian game. I've never played it though. Sound like you had a lot of fun.
I usually came in second place or third when I was in school sports. I liked high jump and sprinting. In high school I really liked gynmastics. I didn't enter competitions though. I was on a swim team too, and again placed 2nd or 3rd. Not too shabby I guess! It must have been very special to win first place though Jen!

  3. Bocci is great. Ryan loved to play it too. Don't laugh ok? I have won lots of sports trophies but my most unusual win was a talent contest when I worked for BC Telephone. I lip synced a song and in being one of the 12 winners, I got to be Mr. August in a calendar. They sold printed copies all over Vancouver to raise money for charity. I still have a cooy of the calendar around here somewhere.

  4. I never won much of anything Jen because I was average at everything. It was frustrating because all my brothers won things and I didn't win much of anything. But I tried hard and enjoyed myself. Dad

  5. We often win at the dance competitions. Our oldest dancer in our group is 84 and the youngest is 24. I am in between. There is not as many competing as in the past but it still feels good. But to tell the truth I hate the lead up to competition. After it is over I am glad I did it, but I like to dance just to dance. The rush when you do it well is pretty cool and to know you did your best. Mari Anne
