SPOILER ALERT: Up until the late 90's, pig lard was a main ingredient. Backlash from that caused the company to switch to a vegan like recipe with palm oil. However, it is rumored that the vanillin might contain titanium dioxide which has been linked to liver and tissue damage in mice. Lets just say that the 'cream' filling has to be called 'creme' because there is no dairy in it. I guess it just lost its appeal to me.
