What is your favorite place around town?

My favorite place in town is my church. I go there to worship God and pray to him and to see friends. I haven't been to church in a long time and I miss it. I don't even know why I stopped going but i'm planning to go back after I get my new wheelchair. What is your favorite place around town?

  1. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell Rita that I'm so very sorry for the loss of your husband. Rita, we know he is in a better place and you'll see him again one day. I pray for God to give you strength and comfort as you continue in this life without your husband, until you meet again.

  2. You should go back Jen. Often we get so busy or distracted with other things that we forget about what we love most. For me, my favourite place around town is Pacific Spirit Park. It is a beautiful and very large forested park where i take Murphy for long walks on the weekend. It is very tranquil and it is a great place to get some really fresh air.

  4. You are always making us think Jen! I think my favorite place around town is Sunnyside Acres Park. It's within walking distance of our house and I like to take Indy for walks there when Mum is away. It's an undeveloped forested park with just a few pathways. The trees are tall and majestic and remind me of long life. When I die I would like my ashes to be spread there. Dad

  5. Thank you for all the prayers for me and John. Jen, I am using your blog as my flat form to express my deepest thoughts and gratitude for meeting many wonderful people, thank you!
Even though I don't feel like do anything other than sit still but I know John wouldn't like that, I truly believe I have to keep on living and being joyful for many things. John's brother Tony who is an accountant had helped me a lot with the funeral arrangement, legal papers, upcoming memorial service, putting John's obituary on newspaper and many other things. I also am very fortunate to have friends and amazing group of people from the church around me. Otherwise, it will be very hard to do it all alone.

As my favorite place is hand down "crescent beach and blackie spit area" John and I used walk there whenever we had a chance. No matter whether it was morning or evening, rain, sun, snow, or windy days...it was our peaceful route to enjoy nature; birds, trees, water, wild flowers around us. It is also a place to scatter John's ashes in August. I will always have this hole in heart because I love him very much but I also believe I will meet him again. I told him to wait for me there!

Thank you for being patience for me, Jen. I will be at your place again right after the memorial service!
