I would rather be in the picture because I don't know how to take a picture but I would like to learn. I remember when I was little I didn't want to be in pictures. I don't know what changed. I also remember taking photography class in high school. Would you rather take a picture or be in a picture?
Like you, Jen I didn't like people take pictures of me when I was young. Now, I don't mind people take picture of me but I would rather like be the one who take the pictures than being on the picture, still. My favorite object is taking picture of nature, like trees, flowers, ocean and close up pictures of new bud of any kind of flower. I think I would like to buy a nicer camera than I have now to take some pictures of dogs at the shelter or people's dogs at random if they allow me to, I think it will an awesome idea, what do you think, Jen?
ReplyDeleteBarbara, thank you for your kind words, yes my life is much more quiet now, but with God's help I will be alright again. I accept this grieving time peacefully.
I like to take pictures Jen. I think digital photography is so great because you can take a series of photos, and then later you just take a close look at them and only keep the best one. The thing about photography is deciding what to include in the frame. Sometimes you get the best photo when you consider the subject, as it relates to the background. I have enjoyed seeing some beautiful photo artistry. A good photographer encourages us to taje a second look at everyday things, and take nothing for granted.
ReplyDeleteI think you'd be an excellent photographer Jen. You already encourage us to take a closer look at many things in everyday life and you remind us to take nothing for granted.
I love pictures so I take quite a few. I have to be in the mood though. But as I love pictures I also like to be in them. I like spontaneous poses rather than portraits or staged ones. I guess there is a place for all of them. I have found that pictures taken recently are fun to look at but that the longer you have them the more fun they are to look at.
ReplyDeleteI think it would rather take the picture Jen because I think I am pretty good at getting people organized in pictures. I don't like to take pictures unless there are people in them. Otherwise you might as well just buy a postcard or someone else's photo. What makes a picture timeless are the people in them in my opinion. I used to take a lot of pictures of people and I have many photo albums as you know. But since digital photography, I have stopped taking pictures because everyone else is taking so many. Also, for many years you and your sisters wouldn't let me take pictures of you. So, unfortunately my photo albums ended about 25 years ago. Dad
