  4. Wow this one is great Jen! I look into this and I get lost in a field of pasture and flowers of rainbow colours and sunshine.

  5. Hi Jen, these hot colours are cool! I was a bit young in the ‘60’s when psychedelic colours were the “groovy” trend. As a 6 or 7 year old I wasn’t doing all the “wid and crazy” fun stuff the 20 year olds were doing, but I sure got hooked into all the colours! I just lit on a pair of fresh socks after a hike in the woods, and guess what, they are all the colours of your painting! I am still entranced with these hues and pattern. And the blue, forever my favorite colour, highlights all the other hot colours so blue’s feeling of cool !

I don’t think I would sleep at nite if my ceiling was painted in these fancy hot colours, but I can imagine summer dresse fabric swaying and moving on a dance floor!

Today I was on a walk in the woods in Squamish, with the earthy tree trunks, almost brown-orange colours, the leaves and ferns fluorescent yellow-greens, with dabbles of blue sky peeking from behind. the mountain light has colours look different.
So does desert light. Have you ever seen the clothes and fabric designed by Alves Dt Laurent while he lived in Marrakech in Morocco in the 1960’s? You might want to google him and his clothes ! As I write to you in this moment I now realize that was what I saw when I was a youngster but had forgotten! Check him out , like your painting, he made beautiful patterns of colour!

Thanks for so much beauty in one painting!

    Love cousin Tess
