How has someone looks fooled you?

When I was in elementary school some mean girls said my breath smelled. I ended up getting breath spray. They looked nice but they ended up being mean. How has someone looks fooled you?

  1. I have been fooled by people quite a few times, Jen. My heart got broken pretty bad in the past, especially when you were alone in a foreign country. You could be a very vulnerable. I had to learn by the hard way to protect myself. I'm very sure I will meet another person who will try take advantage me again, but I cannot let them scare me. Yes, they are a lot of good and bad people out there, we just have to careful and learn from them. Learn not to be like them!

  2. Lots of people fool me even today at my age, but even more when I was much younger. I am much more able to discern phonies and there are a lot of them. Funnily, I have a lot of close friends but even they can be unpredictable. Some of them I know would go to the end of the earth for me but others are more superficial. I have been fooled lots and will continue to be so. It is how you react to being fooled (or not, you store it away) that is the key. N.

  3. It is an important topic you raise Jen and as usual you have your readers thinking! We have a prime minister right now who is reputed to be ‘very good looking’. But I wonder what that has to do with being prime minister? People often judge each other initially by their physical appearance which is where the expression ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ comes from. In other words, don’t be fooled by someone’s looks. Fortunately people’s true values eventually shine through as they do abundantly in your case through your blog. Keep up the great blogging Jen and keep making your readers think! Dad
