My parents always supported me in whatever I wanted to do.
In high school I wanted to be a lawyer. When I was in university I wanted to be a counselor..I wanted to help people and listen to them. I wanted to be a pastor for a couple of years. Now I don't what I want to be. What did you want to be and did your parents support you?
When I was in grade school, I wanted to be a poet/philosopher but my parents suggested business school, instead. I got the benefit from it but never really enjoyed it. I have changed but my core value is still the same, I like helping people as a career. If I have a second change to be in grade school again, I would study chemist or science more seriously. I think it would be wonderful if I could find cure for some illnesses/diseases or better yet, how to prevent them on the fist place. As for you, Jen I think you are a writer by nature!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to be an architect when I grew up. And my parents did support me. I went to university for four years to study architecture. But half way through I realized that being an architect wasn't what I thought it would be. So I went into business because I thought I could make more money. I still don't know if I made the right decision. Sometimes I think you should just follow your dreams and stick with them. Dad
ReplyDeleteI wanted to be a fashion designer. We were not in a position to pay for an education, and I knew that, so I doubt if I ever even told my mom about that dream. However, I have been designing my clothes and sewing them most of my life. I still do it and I have thoroughly enjoyed this. I have no regrets. I'm grateful that I can use my creative and design tendencies in many areas of my life.
