rainbow peacocks

Male peacocks have colorful feathers to attracts the the females. Female peacocks have dull brown feathers.

  1. You are right, Jen. Peacock and many other male birds look so much better than their female encounter. I guess they have to attract the female by their look, as it is the opposite with human condition? As I get older I find it silly and amazing at the same time. Another nice work of art, Jen!

    This is a very showy and proud peacock!
    A few years ago there was a peacock on the loose in this area. It got away from a small farm. Someone managed to round it up so it was safely returned home.

  4. You have great inpiration. I also believed that the colourful plummage was to draw predators away from the female and the nest. They strut and spread their feathers so the predstors wo t notice the female.
