That is an interesting neon color lights, Jen. It is still too early to put up a Christmas tree but I always enjoy Christmas season. I have not have any big Christmas tree for many years now and am hoping will have a nice one soon. Do you have any plan to do something different for this year Christmas, Jen?
Hi Jen i hope you had a good day. We finally have spring! I'm enjoying it! Your painting reminds me of some 'pop beads' I had when I was a little girl. They looked exactly like this! Each round bead had a little bump on one side and a hole on the opposite side. You could pop the bead bump into the hole on another bead, and continue on joining them together until you had a necklace. I do like jewellery and I guess I started young!! My sister and I played with these beads a lot. We would borrow my mom's white gloves and hat and pretend to be ladies. Of course we had a tea party! So fun to remember this now. They also look a lot like theatre lights. Very old theatres had a big marquee out front, with coloured lights. They would announce the name of the movie in the centre in large letters. I always enjoy your paintings Jen, because each one of us relate to the paintings differently. It's very interesting to read everyone's comments. Barbara
This looks like a Chinese checkers board to me Jen. Do you know how to play Chinese checkers? I don't know if you can still buy it anymore but it is played by multiple people on a board with marbles. The objective is to get your marbles to the other side first by jumping over other marbles. It is really fun! Maybe we should try it sometime. Dad
My family played a lot of board games when we were kids. I loved chinese checkers! Parcheesy and croquet too. Chroquet was played on a 40 inch wide, six sided wooden board with raised edges and coloured rings like a target painted on it. (Think curling rink) You would use your thumb and third finger to 'flick' a 1 inch round, flat wooden 'cookie' across the board to knock off your opponent's wooden cookie. There were little metal pegs sunk into the board to make this more difficult because if you hit a peg, your cookie would ricochet off the board into the -ditch. Ok, more than you wanted to know about board crocquet, but it operated like a curling rink with only one end and waa great fun. I don't know what happened to my family's board games. I tried to find chinese checkers, parcheesy and croquet for my grand children but couldn't. Of course kids have more organized out door community sports and electronics now to entertain them. Barbara

Looks like a delicious selection of hard candies in a box. Very colourful!
