Definitely the highlight of the year was Olivia graduating from SFU after 8 years. I am so proud of her for sticking with it and making the Dean's List. This chapter in her life will provide her with many opportunities!
I am glad that you have found music therapy to enrich your life..
Earlier this morning I was listening to some Chopin piano music your Great Grandfather Popo loved to play. The love and talented of music has found you and you have found your gift.
After 25 years of tenting on the beaches, renting an off -grid shack for five years, always dreaming of a place I can make and call home. September last I moved into a cottage with all the amenities here on seashore of North Beach of Haida Gwaii. Thirty years of holding my wish, and now I am living it. Very grateful. Always holding my wish close to my Heart. Can you hear the surf?
Congratulation cousin Tess on realizing your dream of living in Haida Gwaii! Similarly the highlight of my year was spending time at our beautiful pad de terre in Mexico and sailing the sunny seas of Banderas Bay. I have also taken up aerial yoga which has me to hanging upside down and otherwise tying myself in knots every morning before breakfast which is thoroughly invigorating. Those were the highlights of my year! Dad
Hi Jennifer, That is an interesting question: what has been the highlight of my year? Ever since I can remember I have had anxiety. My anxiety has had a significant impact on my life and on the choices I have made -and on the choices that I continue to make- in order to keep my anxiety manageable. I don’t mind at all having to say ‘no’ to doing certain things in order to keep my anxiety levels manageable. I don’t feel I miss out on anything by saying ‘no’ because I know how unpleasant it is when my anxiety is triggered. I am mentioning this because what for me are personal highlights of the past year would likely be totally insignificant to other people and I am okay with that because we are all different. So one highlight for me in this past year was joining three (very high energy!) weekly zumba classes. I know your mum loves zumba too. Another highlight was driving out to your house a couple of times to visit your mum and dad and you. Another highlight was that at different times each of my kids came to visit. Now you wouldn’t think having my kids come and visit would trigger my anxiety but anxiety is funny like that. I am very happy that discovering music through music therapy was a highlight for you this year. I have heard two of your songs and I can certainly see, well, hear, how musical you are. I can’t wait to hear the third! Pippa
I know I am past due on this one but there were many things about last year I loved. This year I am looking forward to watching Jackson continue to grow into a lil dude and hopefully plan our first BIG family trip. Fingers cross the stars Aline. I would love to hear more about music therapy. Why did you love it so much? Was it online or someone came to the house? Are you going to be participating in it again?
