My claim to fame is our great garden Jen. People love our new water feature and admire our perfect grass. But like any passion, it's never finished or good enough. So stay tuned for further developments! Dad
Hi Jen, I think my claim to fame are my Christmas cards.., not only because they are still hand made (gluing 2-3 photos), handwriting (which already is more of a “chicken scrawl”) my message which is more than a couple of lines, addressing by hand (looking up the addresses cuz I don’t have a “list!”), licking the envelope (uckers) closed, sticking on the stamp (always fun), and “popping” them in the mail. The joy to receive something from the Postie thru the old fashioned mail slot on the front door, or a reward for the trek to the post office box which requires a walk or in rural areas a drive… to hold a fairly nice textured envelope which has a bit of weight to it (the postmistress let me know that this year’s weight and thickness which was three photos and a wax stamp on the back really cost more than the stamp used… next year a bigger stamp she suggested!) gives each recipient a little extra special to their day. I know when I write each card and envelope I have that extra special feeling about each recipient. That has me feel warm in my Heart.
Maybe the same for you as you send us your paintings, thoughts and questions!
Hi Jen It was lovely to see you the other evening! Your questions are getting very interesting and one just has to find the time to answer them 👏 My claim to fame is raising five fabulous children and nurturing them through thick and thin over the years to present time. And my biggest claim to fame is me going back to college in my sixties with twenty year old students in my class and graduating with flying colours in my programme. This has made me feel complete and the job I do as a result is as rewarding in every possible aspect I dreamt of! Zen
Hi Jennifer, that is a very interesting question. I had to think about it... I decided that i have no claim to fame and no fame to claim. And I am very okay with that. Pippa
