A very pretty four leaf clover Jen. I like the pastel colours. I haven't heard the meaning that you mentioned before though! It's a very nice way of thinking about the clover. As a child, I spent a fair amount of time looking for a four leaf clover. The legend we heard as kids was that they bring good luck. If we found one we'd press it between the pages of a book. I hope you're enjoying the beautiful spring weather- ok without the rain!! The sunny days are so pleasant, and the wild flowers are really beginning their annual parade. We went for a long drive today and saw the purple blooms of wild penstemmon growing out of rock cliffs. The road sides and hills north of here are lined with white blooming Saskatoon bushes and yellow arrow leaf daisies. These flowers have all finished around our house but there are more and more wild flowers coming! We have sky-blue wild flax all around here. True blue is a rare colour in flowers. As you know I love colour and to see it occurring naturally is a treat. We walked under a tree today and there was a male Bullock's Oriole in it. They're quite exotic looking birds. See if you can find a photo of one on the internet. Barbara
Wow Jen. I didn't know that about four leaf Clover. Did you know that there is also such thing as five leaf clover? It is even more rare than the one-in-five thousand four leaf Clover. The fifth leaf is apparently for money. We have some Clover in the back garden. Maybe we should look for it! Love your painting Jen.
