What did you want to be?

I had two dreams when J was little. One was that I was a ballerina and the other I was a author. I got to be a ballerina when I wheelchair danced. I danced at All Bodies Dance in Vancouver. I am working on publishing my first book. What did you want to be?

  1. Well Jen you're an exceptional artist, an author, you've done ballet snd you write and host a blog! You're very accomplished!!
I hope you enjoy the art competition. Maybe you'll get to meet some of the other artists. I really enjoy tbe art club I go to. Everyone brings whatever they're working on and we each have a chair and use half of an 8 foot table. As we work we talk about techniques and art concepts. Just seeing other people's work and artistic style gives me motivation to try new things. It's my favorite day of the week.
Good luck with the art competition.

  2. I wanted to be an architect Jen. I wanted to design buildings. When I was little I used to draw plans for a house which looked very much like the house we live in now. I used to imagine living in it. I studied architecture for awhile, but I concluded it wouldn't be as much fun as I thought. So I with into business. Everyone has dreams and some get to live them. That's great that you are living yours! I dream about Jesus coming back to Earth to heal you. Last night you said he might not because there are so many other people that need him more. I think he would make you a priority because of your faith. Dad

  3. I was always wanted to be a philosopher and I think I am, not so much as a career but I'm a philosopher for my friends and myself of course! Even though I went to business school in Indonesia and got a little benefit from it but I didn't enjoy it at all. I have many books about self-help, philosophy, psychology alike and Christian books as well. As I get older, I find studying about human faith is the most interesting subject to read. There are also many stories about the power of prayer, hope, love and courage that make the world a better place for everybody. I don't always spend a lot of time with many people but I still find human beings are very interesting because we cannot truly understand ourselves! We are so unique and yet quite simple at the same. Do you agree, Jen?

  4. Hi Rita. I agree with you. I think the lifelong study of human nature is the most interesting study of all.
Jen, I believe it's clear from reading the words of Jesus in the Bible, that we'll have perfect bodies and completed minds in heaven. Jesus appeared to his disciples after he rose from the dead. They were afraid for a minute, knowing he had died! He said to them, Don't be afaid. I'm not a spirit. A spirit doesn't have flesh and bone like I do. Then he ate a meal with them.
Paul, the apostle, said we don't understand everything about life and God now, it's like we're looking through a darkened window. (kind of like some cars have very dark windows and we can't really see what's in them).
But, he said, once we move to heaven, we'll see God face to face.
All the questions we all have about life will be made clear.
I can wait. Paul said have faith and patience. I'm enjoying all the beautiful people, places and natural things he put in this world for us.
I too hope Jesus heals you now. I know it's harder for you to be patient. But I'm so glad you have faith.
In heaven, Jen, you and I will have a grand time!
