Describe what you see when you look outside your bedroom window at home.
May blinds are close at the moment but I usually see my pool out my window. Depending on the season there is a fence around the pool or half way around. Describe what you see when you look outside your bedroom window at home.
I see a foggy backyard with green grass and leaves on the wet ground from the fog. It's mot a very warm day, but at least there's no snow yet, but it's forecast to fall on the weekend. So, it would be a good day to go out and maybe go for a walk tonight to see the Christmas lights in the cold foggy air. Lots of love Jen and family! from Roger and Mari Anne xox
Hi Jen My bedroom window looks North onto a big ocean body of water called Dixon Entrance. I am up in Haida Gwaii! From the porch off my bedroom there is a sandy path with salal, crab grasses and self seeded spruce trees growing. All about hip height. In total, 50 footsteps will have me on the beach, a beautiful beach that might be 3 miles long …some areas full of clam shells, moonsnail shells, abalone shells… river like rocks in that they are well rounded in shape, many different colours. Also agates. Agates are kinda waxy textured stones, toughly shaped, golden honey coloured most often, and what’s very special is you can see light thru them! Lots of bulkhead seaweed! Up in the sky there are lots of seagulls, crows and two eagle families. Right now the low tide is rising , so lots of foam which comes from the bottom of the ocean and is full of rich nutrients for all the seashore life, both plants and creatures benefit. As the tide gets closer to shore the waves get very big and like thunder, they come in rolling action and crash as they break apart and fall into itself. These great big waves also carry alot of sand from underneath and brings changes to the actual beach. With winter coming these high tides are coming up into the front yards of some of my neighbours’ gardens down at the far end of the beach!! Scary for them, you can image! I can lie in bed and hear the ocean’s mummers and roars! All beautiful music to my ears and heart. My indoor cat likes to look out at the waves… I wonder what she thinks she is seeing. Definitely the movement captures her natural instincts. But unlike darting mice or birds, these green coloured waves travel in lines parallel to the seashore with white cresting crowns. If only I could speak cat language! I wonder what treasures the tide will bring in. I go for a long walk every day. Sometimes two! Miaow miaow, Cousin Tess

Thanks cousin Tess for that amazing rendition. I can't wait to see it maybe next summer! Geoff
