Have you ever taught anyone how to do something?

I am sure there are many things I have taught people but I can't think of anything. I guess I have taught people my speech which is always hard. Have you ever taught anyone how to do something?

  1. The first person we ever teach is our mothers before we are born. Mothers learn what we like and what we dont. It prepares them for when we are born. Thats why Dads have a hard time catching up.

  2. Good morning Jen,
Hope you had a restful sleep.
My18 year old cat teaches me so many things. With such patience, tolerance and acceptance…
For example, this very morning, as usual she greets me by peering into my face with her eyes communication “wake up wake up wake up…” which I do without even knowing she was there inviting (commanding ?!) that I wake up!
I turn from my side onto my back, she leaps onto my chest, and lifts her chin up ever so slightly. This is my cut to scratch her chin,
Then she looks away and that is my cue to rub around her ear (not her ear,she is very clear!)… all over again with the hairs on her chubby chin chin and over to the other rib around the other ear.
When she feels her facial is complete she walk on me down to my thighs. This is her cue for her body massage , from her beck all the way (using both hands simultaneously) down her torso and off the very top of her tail. A few more times then she jumps off me, off the bed , onto the floor and waits for me. My cue to get out of bed, put on my slippers, and shuffle into the kitchen to prepare her hot breakfast. While the kettle is getting to a boil she sits grandly looking at the back kitchen door. Ah! Another cue. I open the door for her, walk out into the porch to make sure all is in order, and slowly she saunters out , snuffs the morning freshness, then looks between the railing to the neighbour’s window across the way hoping to see their cat on their windowsill. It is so fun for me as they are both “Tuxedo” cats in that they are both black and white!
Have you ever seen how cats look at each other? They pretend not to see the other. They do a quick peek then look away. The other one takes that moment to do a quick peek then looks away…. Thus continues for quite a while! Fortunately th kettle has a whistle on it so when it blows I bound into the kitchen so as not to disturb my neighbours at 6:30 AM. The other thing if good fortune is this bounding and whistling disturbs the peek but do not stare cat morning contest and Bridgette, my Kitty, trots in and sits where her dry kibbles are, waiting to be served her hot meal to start her day.
She has taught me cat games, cat play, cat tease, cat orders, cat dreams, cat horse cleaning, cat stories, cat songs, cat rules, cat tricks, cat jokes…

I take these opportunities of great cat teachings to my friends who want to learn more about flexibility in their bodies. I show them how to do cat stretches, I show them how to move their joints, I show them how play hide and seek….

Then there is all the magic that dogs teach us and what we can then share with our friends!

Bridgette has had her morning’s hot breakfast, the sun has just peeked thru its long beams of light, time for me to do my cat stretches as Bridgette retired for her cat nap!

Love cousin Tess and Bridgette 👑🐝🐈‍⬛♥️🐾

  3. Oops, I should have done an edit before I sent. Cue instead of cut… chinny chin chin (not autocorrect chubby chin chin…. This kitty is only 6lbs, no chubby on this Queen B!
Any other typos down the read, I do apologize!

  6. I used to teach young kids to swim. Their personalities really come out when they are challenged. Some are braver than others. Some cry, some laugh some want to quit so you have to take it very slowly to keep them feeling comfortable. I only had one student that refused to go into in the water so her mummy took her. I wonder if she ever did learn to swim??? AP
