What do you think would happen if you had to go to school on Saturdays?

It would be like every other day. What do you think would happen if you had to go to school on Saturdays?

  1. I guess if we had to go to school on Saturdays we would get used to it.
What I would rather do is go to school on bad weather days and get nice days off. We might go to school or work more days but we would be able to enjoy our days off.
There is an old joke 'What happens after two days of rain in Vancouver? MONDAY!!'

  2. Owen, I am interested in your comment of “bad weather” days. Is there such a thing?
Dressing up in a pair of good gumboots, cosy socks with wool felt liners, wool sweater under a rain jacket that keeps one dry, as with rain pants and a brimmed rain hat, not to forget a scarf and rain gloves…. Are you getting this picture so far…. Cozy and dry… walking in the rain … singing in the rain.. gumboots in the puddles…seeing the earth and all its plants drinking up the water as we do on a hot summer day with lemonade or iced tea…
What could be finer than joining in the celebration of rain at sea level, magical change to snow in the mountains… then home to a hot bowl of soup and a slice or two of bread fresh from the oven, curling up with a good book in front of a fire or tucked in with a hot water bottle or wrapped up in a cozy blanket, all listening to the beautiful music of rain on the roof…snug as a bug…

Oh, and on a rainy Saturday at school when I could be out in my boots… I would skip school any day! Rain or shine. No Saturday school for me!
Thanks Jen for the amazing wonders of being outdoors!
    Love Cousin Tess

  3. I actually had to go to school on Saturday. Both Uncle Sam and I went to a school that had school six days a week! On Saturday and Wednesday afternoons we had sports. And every morning we went to church as well as on Sunday night. Of course it was a boarding school which means we lived there. But still, I don't think Saturday was like any other day. It was the end of the week much like we think of Friday. Dad
