I think it's amazing Jen! I can see why you call it New year's Day because it looks like fireworks going off in the sky. How are you liking the new version of painter classic? Was that the best Christmas present ever? Love, dad
Just under the wire… Good morning Jen! I love today’s New Year’s painting, a nite sky full of stars, outer space colour, celebratory and exploding fire works. I can almost hear them sizzling and popping! And reading your Dad’s comment, so cool to have this new Christmas art program for your computer and you! And therefore lucky us, even more creativity coming from you to us!
As you can see, today was one of those days that is just “plain and simple⭐️”… some call it lazy, my cat calls it “someone watching over me while I sleep.” I call it the one day a year , I never know what day it will be until it happens, that I stay in bed reading reading reading. And it is a book I have read before! As a story writer, I think you must read your stories over and over, each time with fresh eyes and new take on the story, the words you chose, the imaginatings of your great descriptions and details…such a gift you have with the Arts! Thank you for sharing all that you do! You inspire me greatly! I am now dressed for the outdoors. I need to bring some wood from the woodshed so it can get to room temperature and dry off any residual outdoor dampness. Makes it easier to burn, making a hotter fire. Split some with which to start the fire, same with the cedar, making kindling that really crackles and pops the “show on the road,” so to speak! With the outdoor chore done I will check out the beach to see what the tides brought in overnite. Yesterday I found a few remnants of a 🦑squid/ /octopus tentacles. I am thinking one of the handful of seals I see pretty regularly out in the ocean ate the other part for its meal of the day. Seagulls came round a bit later and had their meal of the leftovers from the seals. I am looking forward to New Year’s Eve, a time to make some wishes. A time to let go of “whatevers” that no longer are needed. Scottish folk have a tradition, and I think a few other cultures as well, one minute to midnite you go out the back door, and at midnite come in the front door! Out with the Old, in with the New! Fortunately we can be cozy in bed and use our “mind’s eye” and visualize the whole thing! Catch up with you tomorrow! Love Cousin Tess
Hi Jen, Your painting looks like fireworks!!! Just stunning and so appropriate for the upcoming New Years Celebrations!!! We are lucky as we have next door neighbours that put on a show every year of fireworks so we can watch from inside our cozy warm house. I have many New Years Resolutions too many to list!!! I will try my best!!! Love AP
